Do you find that political discussion upsets you? I read somewhere that people with large numbers of Facebook "friends" reported experiencing more stress. I am definitely considering weeding out my Facebook friends list, because there are indeed people who cause me some stress...but then I stress about them noticing I've unfriended them, and then I have guilt, which for me ends up as stress. Can we ever win?
Well anyhoo, here is my "take" on the debate that was held tonight. Wow what a doozie. I almost posted the following on Facebook, then I decided I didn't want the fight that would ensue on my Facebook page. But I still think it's a valid thought about why the debate went the way it did.
Check this out...I'm not a Biden fan, but even I was yelling at him to cut it out, he was blowing the debate bigtime! It was like watching a train wreck. He came off looking really obnoxious.
I think that because the VP debate was held with the participants sitting down at a table, it caused them to be more relaxed and treated it as more of an after-dinner lively discussion. I don't know why they would have that format rather than the standard standing at-podium debate.
I think the moderator also poorly controlled the debate (yet some people think she was wonderful) What?!?
It is interesting (from looking at Facebook and Twitter) that people can watch and listen to the same thing and still come away with COMPLETELY different takes on what occurred.
Do you avoid politics to keep from getting stressed?
