My brain on paper

Things You Must Do Notepad by Knock KnockMy memory has gotten awful. I've never been the most organized person in the world, but with "Fibro Fog" it's gotten worse.

I am one of those people who writes a to-do list and then forgets where she put it. Or, several "to-do" lists are floating around, and nothing gets done. The common denominator here is that nothing gets done, but oh my there ARE good intentions! For most of what's on the list anyway.

Today I realized that maybe a clipboard is the trick. I claimed a clipboard and put a post it note on the clippy bit that reads "MOM'S BRAIN."

So far so good, I am writing down things as they come to me, and it's keeping me on track today. Everything is going on there, even reminders to put clothes into the dryer.

I sure hope when I get through menopause (I guess I am in perimenopause, my periods are getting closer together and shorter.) that a lot of my symptoms will abate.

I have been working on getting more sleep and I seem to do better each day with that. I think it is something I'll just have to commit to.

One way the list has already helped -- when a friend called, I was in the middle of something I couldn't do while talking on the phone, so I found something else on on my list that I could do while on the phone.

A tip for dealing with fatigue of Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue is to use a list and do the most important things first. That way, if you get tired out, you can just relax and rest, knowing you already did the most important tasks.
